The approximately 594 km long Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj is to be inaugurated on April 29. Earlier the news is that digital entry of vehicles will be recorded at the entry point, so that the entire journey can be tracked. As soon as the vehicle exits the expressway, the system will automatically calculate the toll based on the distance covered. Let us tell you, this expressway is completely ready at present. According to the news, the most special thing about this expressway is that the entry here will be completely free. Passengers will have to pay toll tax only on the basis of distance covered at the exit point after completing the journey. That means, the more travel, the more payment, which will increase both transparency and convenience. A total of 14 toll plazas have been built on the entire expressway. Of these, Meerut and Prayagraj will be the main toll plazas, while entry-exit based toll booths have been set up at other 12 places. About 23.6 kilometers of this expressway passes through Amroha district, where the entry and exit points have been made at Mangraula.

PM Modi will inaugurate

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway on April 29. With its commencement, there will be a major improvement in connectivity between western and eastern Uttar Pradesh and there will be a significant reduction in travel time.

What is the fixed toll?

Talking about toll rates, the charge for private cars, jeeps and vans has been fixed at around ₹ 2.55 per kilometre, which will cost around ₹ 1515 to travel the entire expressway. The fee for light commercial vehicles has been fixed at ₹4.05 per km, for buses and trucks at ₹8.15 per km, and for heavy machinery at ₹12.55 to ₹16.05 per km. Another major feature of this expressway is that vehicles will not have to stop at the toll plaza here. Toll will be deducted automatically through the state-of-the-art sensor based system, which will eliminate the problem of jam and make the journey even faster and easier.
