After the first innings, there was little hope that the Pakistani team would be able to chase such a big score, but Pakistan won the match and the series by scoring 331 runs for seven wickets in 48.3 overs.

Fakhar Zaman and Arafat Minhas played stormy innings

While for Sri Lanka, Kamendu Mendis scored 131 runs on 128 balls, on the other hand, for Pakistan, opener Fakhar Zaman managed to score 127 runs on 99 balls. Arafat Minhas, coming down the order, scored 61 runs on just 31 balls. This was the reason why the team achieved such a big score. Meanwhile, holding Pakistan responsible for the slow over rate, the ICC has fined the team 5 percent of the match fee.

Pakistan bowled one over less in the time limit

ICC match referee Jeff Crowe admitted that the Pakistan team had failed to complete the overs in the stipulated time and had reduced one over.
