Many big records registered in the name of Mandhana

29 year old Mandhana is an important part of the Indian women’s cricket team and has made many big records in her name. TIME wrote about Mandhana that the Mumbai-born left-handed opening batsman is the first Indian woman to score a double century in a domestic ODI match. She is the first female player to score centuries in all three international formats. She also holds the joint record for scoring the most number of international centuries in women’s cricket with 17 centuries. She is also the first female cricketer to score more than 1000 ODI runs in a calendar year.

TIME magazine further praised Mandhana and said that Mandhana is most proud of the successes she has achieved with the team. She led Royal Challengers Bangalore to Women’s Premier League titles in 2024 and 2026 and was also the vice-captain of the Indian team that won the ICC Women’s World Cup last year.
