In this list, the name of MS Dhoni is at the first place, who has played a total of 278 matches in IPL till now, while the names of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are at the second and third place. So far in this list, only Indian players have been successful in achieving this feat in terms of playing 200 or more matches, whereas Sunil Narine has played the maximum number of matches as a foreign player in the IPL, who has played a total of 197 matches so far.
