
There is news of great relief for travelers traveling to West Asia. Air India and Air India Express have decided to operate a large number of flights to different cities in West Asia on 12 March 2026. Both the airlines together will operate a total of 58 scheduled and special flights, which will provide passengers with more travel options. This step has been taken in view of the increasing demand.
Air India and Air India Express have also announced special flights to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Under this, both the airlines will operate one non-scheduled round flight each. Air India will operate a special flight from Mumbai to Riyadh, while Air India Express will operate a flight from Kozhikode to Riyadh. This will provide a lot of convenience to Indians working in Gulf countries.
Many flights to Jeddah
Many flights have also been arranged for Jeddah, an important city of Saudi Arabia. Both airlines together will operate a total of 10 flights to Jeddah. Air India will operate one round trip flight from Delhi and two round trip flights from Mumbai. Whereas Air India Express will operate one round trip flight each from Bengaluru and Kozhikode. This will provide great relief to the travelers going for Umrah and other journeys.
Regular services to Muscat also
Flights will also continue to operate to Muscat, the capital of Oman. Air India Express will operate a total of 8 scheduled flights to Muscat. These include one round trip each from Delhi and Mumbai and two round trips from Kozhikode.
40 extra special flights
Apart from these scheduled services, Air India and Air India Express will also operate a total of 40 additional non-scheduled flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia. However, operation of these flights will depend on the availability of slots and other circumstances at the respective airports.
Passengers will get big benefits
Airlines say that necessary permissions have been taken from the regulatory authorities of India and the respective countries to operate these extra flights. These services aim to meet the growing demand of passengers and provide better connectivity to passengers traveling to West Asia.
