FASTag Annual Pass Fees Hike: Fastag annual pass used for private vehicles is going to be expensive. The annual fee of Fastag Annual Pass is going to increase by 2.5 percent i.e. Rs 75, due to which its charge will increase from Rs 3000 to Rs 3075. Let us tell you that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had launched the Fastag Annual Pass on August 15 last year. Fastag Annual Pass is valid for one year from the date of issue or for 200 trips (whichever is earlier). This annual is valid for the national highways across the country, on the highways under the state government, toll is normally deducted from the ordinary Fastag account.
Passes purchased before April 1 will be available for Rs 3000 only.
Officials said that when the Road Transport Ministry had issued the notification regarding FASTag Annual Pass, the rule of changing its price every year was also mentioned. “This increase has been made according to the formula of change in highway toll prices across the country, which happens every year. Those who recharge this month can buy it for Rs 3,000,” the official said. However, those who will buy Fastag Annual Pass from April 1 will have to pay Rs 3075, an increase of Rs 75. That is, the increase in the price of Fastag Annual Pass will affect 52 lakh people. But, it is a matter of relief that its fees are increasing marginally by 2.5 percent.
Where can Fastag Annual Pass be purchased?
Fastag Annual Pass is sold only on the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official website of NHAI/MoRTH. FASTag Annual Pass is activated within two hours of payment, for confirmation of which an SMS is also sent to your registered mobile number. Also, keep in mind that the payment made for this annual pass is one-time and non-refundable. Money will not be refunded under any circumstances, whether you use the pass or not. This pass is very beneficial for those people who have to travel frequently through the National Highway.
