
PM Kisan 22nd Installment: A big news is coming for crores of farmers of the country. The date of the 22nd installment of PM Kisan was announced on Tuesday. Yes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 22nd installment of PM Kisan during his Guwahati visit on March 13. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme, approximately Rs 19,000 crore will be released to 9.32 crore farmers across the country. A senior official of the Agriculture Ministry gave this information on Monday. This program of PM Modi will be organized in Guwahati, Assam. This amount of Rs 2000, which will be released just before the sowing of Kharif crops, is expected to help farmers in procuring essential agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilizers and pesticides.
Under PM Kisan Yojana, farmers are given Rs 6000 every year.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government had launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana i.e. PM Kisan Yojana in February 2019. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 6000 every year to all the eligible farmers in the country. This Rs 6000 is given to the farmers in the form of 3 installments of Rs 2000-2000 every 4 months. Let us tell you that usually PM Kisan installments are released during February-March, June-July and October. The main objective of this scheme is to help the farmers financially, so that the expenses of the farmers can be reduced and their income can be increased.
The 21st installment of PM Kisan was released on 19 November.
PM Modi had released the 21st installment of PM Kisan on November 19 last year. Since then, crores of farmers across the country were eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment. As per the previous data of the scheme, Rs 22,000 crore was transferred to 9.8 crore farmers as the 19th installment in February, 2025. After this, Rs 20,500 crore was given to 9.7 crore farmers under the 20th installment in August, 2025 and Rs 18,000 crore was given to 9 crore farmers as the 21st installment in November, 2025. With total disbursement of approximately Rs 4.09 lakh crore till the 21st installment, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi remains one of the major Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programs of the government for the agriculture sector.
