Share Market Closing 9 December, 2025: A big decline was recorded in the domestic stock market for the second consecutive day today. On Tuesday, BSE Sensex closed at 84,666.28 points with a huge fall of 436.41 points (0.51%). Similarly, NSE’s Nifty 50 index also closed at 25,839.65 points with a huge loss of 120.90 points (0.47 per cent). Let us tell you that there was a huge decline in the market on Monday. Yesterday, Sensex closed at 85,102.69 points with a loss of 609.68 points (0.71 per cent) and Nifty closed at 25,960.55 points with a loss of 225.90 points (0.86 per cent). Experts say that investors are taking steps very carefully before the announcement of the Federal Reserve’s decisions on December 10.

Asian Paints shares fall sharply

On Tuesday, shares of only 8 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains and shares of all the remaining 22 companies closed in the red with a decline. Similarly, out of 50 Nifty 50 companies, shares of only 17 companies closed in the green with gains and shares of all the remaining 33 companies closed in the red with losses. Today, among the Sensex companies, the shares of Eternal closed with the maximum gain of 2.30 percent and the shares of Asian Paints closed with the maximum fall of 4.61 percent.

Which names were among the stocks that closed with gains?

Today, among Sensex companies, shares of Titan closed with a rise of 2.12 percent, Adani Ports by 1.07 percent, BEL by 0.82 percent, State Bank of India by 0.40 percent, Bajaj Finserv by 0.36 percent, NTPC by 0.13 percent and Bharti Airtel by 0.05 percent.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, shares of Tech Mahindra fell 1.99 percent, HCL Tech 1.78 percent, Tata Steel 1.74 percent, Maruti Suzuki 1.16 percent, Sun Pharma 1.05 percent, ICICI Bank 1.04 percent, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles 0.99 percent, Bajaj Finance 0.97 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.93 percent, TCS 0.92. Percent, Reliance Industries 0.89 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.80 percent, Infosys 0.66 percent, HDFC Bank 0.62 percent, Hindustan Unilever 0.29 percent, PowerGrid 0.25 percent, ITC 0.17 percent, L&T 0.13 percent, Trent 0.13 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.10 percent and Axis Bank. Closed with a decline of 0.08 percent.
