Indian Railways has started special trains from the national capital Delhi to some cities from March 25. If you also want to go on a journey then you can book your seat in these trains. According to Northern Railway, it has been decided to run reserve trains for the convenience of passengers. On one hand, special trains are being run between New Delhi to Katihar and Ranchi to Anand Vihar Terminal, while on the other hand, partial change in the timetable of Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express has also come into effect from today.
Trains between Ranchi Junction to Anand Vihar Terminal
For the convenience of passengers, special trains are being operated by Railways between Ranchi Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal. These trains will run on scheduled dates. Train number 02887 is leaving from Ranchi Junction for Anand Vihar Terminal on 25 March 2026. This train will depart from Ranchi Junction at 16:25 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 18:00 pm the next day. Whereas, train number 02888 will run from Anand Vihar Terminal to Ranchi Junction on 26 March 2026. This train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 19:30 pm and reach Ranchi Junction at 19:10 pm the next day.
Stoppages at these stations
These special trains will have stoppages at Mesra, Barkakana Junction, Khalari, Tori Junction, Latehar, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road Junction, Nagar Untari, Renukoot, Chopan, Sonbhadra, Chunar Junction, Mirzapur, Subedarganj, Govindpuri, Tundla Junction and Ghaziabad Junction railway stations. Air conditioned (AC), sleeper and general class coaches will be available in these trains.
Train between New Delhi-Katihar-New Delhi
For the convenience of passengers between New Delhi-Katihar Junction, Railways will run these trains on limited dates. Train number 04074 will run from New Delhi to Katihar Junction on 27 March 2026. This train will depart from New Delhi at 19:30 pm and reach Katihar Junction at 04:50 am the next day. Whereas, train number 04073 will run from Katihar Junction to New Delhi on 28 March 2026. This train will depart from Katihar Junction at 13:45 pm and reach New Delhi.
There will be stoppages at these stations
These special trains will have stoppages at Tundla Junction, Govindpuri, Prayagraj Junction, Prayagraj Rambagh, Gyanpur Road, Varanasi, Aunrihar Junction, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Chhapra Junction, Sonpur, Hajipur Junction, Barauni Junction, Begusarai, Khagaria Junction, Mansi Junction and Navgachia Railway Station. AC, sleeper and general class coaches will be available in the train.
Time table of this train changed from today
There has been a partial change in the timetable of 12958 Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express running between New Delhi and Sabarmati. This new timetable is effective from March 25, 2026. As per the changed timing, the train at Palanpur Junction will now arrive at 05:50 AM and depart at 05:52 AM, whereas earlier it was arriving at 05:58 AM and departing at 06:00 AM. Similarly, at Mahesana Junction the train will now arrive at 06:38 hrs and depart at 06:40 hrs, whereas earlier it used to arrive at 06:48 hrs and depart at 06:50 hrs. There has been no change in the arrival time of the train at Sabarmati station. The train will arrive at 08:05 am as before.
