In its message on social media platform There is a possibility of delay or change in many flights departing from and arriving at these airports. Passengers have been appealed to regularly check the latest status of their flights through the airline’s official website before and during travel.
SpiceJet is planning to launch 100 additional flights daily to meet the current winter demand. The airline said it is working towards increasing its flight services and ensuring adequate capacity in the market in view of the increasing demand on key routes this winter.
Delhi airport alerted
Delhi International Airport Limited i.e. DIAL has also alerted the passengers in its message saying that due to dense fog, flight operations are currently being conducted under CAT III conditions, due to which flights may be delayed or disrupted in operation. Continuous coordination is being done with all agencies and stakeholders concerned to minimize the inconvenience caused to passengers.
Let us tell you, CAT I allows aircraft landing in low visibility, in which the minimum RVR is around 550 meters and above. CAT II allows aircraft to land in very low visibility, with a minimum RVR of approximately 300 m to 549 m and CAT III allows aircraft to land in very low or near zero visibility using advanced/autoland systems, with RVR less than 300 m.
