Kangra: The life of an ordinary taxi driver from Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh changed in an instant, when he won a lottery worth Rs 3 crore. The person who till now used to work hard day and night to meet the expenses of his family and was often forced to work as a daily wage labourer, has today become a millionaire. Kalyan Chand, resident of Fatehpur tehsil, has been supporting his family by driving a taxi for the last 20 years. Recently he went to Bathinda in Punjab to drop off a ride. After finishing the work, he bought two lottery tickets of Rs 500 each. Little did he know that these two tickets would become the biggest gift of his life.
Luck made a millionaire
According to the information, on June 13, Kalyan Chand was watching the live draw of lottery on mobile. Initially he felt that this time also luck would not favor him, but as the numbers kept coming out, his heartbeats started increasing. Suddenly he realized that the numbers written on the ticket and the numbers in the draw were matching each other. Kalyan Chand told that when the complete numbers matched, he could not believe his eyes for a few moments. He became shocked and emotional. Filled with joy, the first thing he did was call his wife and share the good news. As soon as the family got the news of winning the lottery of Rs 3 crore, there was an atmosphere of happiness and celebration in the house.
