New Delhi: Indian Railways has announced to run three special summer trains for those going to Bihar. In fact, due to closure of schools and movement of families, huge crowd is already being seen at the stations of Bihar and Northern India. Keeping this rush in mind, Railways has announced the introduction of three special trains, which are aimed at improving connectivity and providing additional seats during peak months.
These new services connect Bihar with major destinations in the North and South, providing relief to migrant workers, students and holiday travelers. These trains will run on select routes for a limited time during the summer. According to railway officials, the decision is part of broader efforts to control crowding during holidays and festivals.
1. New Delhi to Supaul special train
New Delhi to Supaul special train, which has started running daily from April 17. This service directly connects the national capital Delhi with North Bihar. This train passes through important stations like Saharsa, Barauni, Hajipur, Ballia, Ghazipur and Varanasi. This will also provide relief to the passengers going to UP.
2-Anand Vihar to Jogbani special train
To ease travel between Delhi and Nepal border area in Bihar, Railways has also started Jogbani special train from Anand Vihar. The service began on 18 April and is scheduled to run until 11 July, covering most of the summer holidays.
3-Saharsa to Yesvantpur special train
For travelers heading towards Southern India, the Saharsa to Yesvantpur special train offers a great option for long distance travel. This train, which started from April 16, is scheduled to run on April 23 and April 30. This train passes through many major stations like Kiul, Jhajha, Asansol, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam before reaching Yesvantpur in Bengaluru. This train helps in reducing the distance between northern Bihar and southern tech hubs.
