First step- To make Bhalla, you have to take good quality potatoes. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them. Now mash or grate the potatoes when they cool down. Now add some arrowroot to the potatoes. This makes the tikkis more crispy and also does not stick. Also add salt to the potatoes to taste.

Second step- Now boil yellow peas in the cooker. Mash the peas well and add finely chopped green chillies, finely chopped raw onion, finely chopped tomato, some long thin pieces of ginger, finely chopped coriander, salt, garam masala, red chilli and mix everything.

Third step- Prepare green chutney by grinding coriander and green chillies. Prepare sweet chutney of tamarind or mango powder and keep it in advance. Without sweet chutney, bhalla does not taste good. Therefore, make sure to make sweet chutney. To enhance the taste of Bhalla, grate 1 radish.

Fourth step- Now heat ghee or any frying oil in a pan or wok. Let the oil heat well and then deep fry the prepared potato tikkis. Fry the potato tikkis on medium flame only. This will make the tikkis very crispy.

Fifth step- Now for serving, first put Aloo Tikki in a plate, add boiled masala peas on top. Pour green and red chutney over it. For flavour, add salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and chaat masala powder. Now add grated radish and serve hot.

Crisp on the outside and salty on the inside, your heart will be happy as soon as you eat Bhalla. Even if you serve two tikkis at once, you will feel like eating more. Children and adults alike will love the taste of Bhalla.
