The film Dhurandhar 2 was a blast at the box office as soon as it was released. This superhit film was also discussed a lot on social media. After theaters, the film has also been released on OTT. But now a raw and uncut version of this film is being premiered. There are no cuts or beeps on abuse in this version. Almost two months after the Ranveer Singh starrer spy thriller was a box office hit, Netflix India has announced that it will stream the uncensored version of the blockbuster along with the already released ‘raw and unseen’ version.
Netflix India gave information
Netflix India announced the release by sharing a new promotional video on its social media platforms on Thursday and confirmed that the international cut will be available for streaming from June 19. Unlike the version shown in Indian theatres, this edition restores the original overseas cut, with unmuted dialogue, uncensored language and the complete audio track. The film will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. This release comes shortly after the film’s Indian OTT debut on June 4 on JioHotstar. While fans were excited to watch the action thriller at home, the platform faced criticism for choosing a ‘live-stream’ format instead of providing the film ‘on-demand’.
Those scenes which were shortened will also be visible
The Netflix version also brings back several scenes that were shortened or removed during the theatrical release. Audiences can expect to see longer action sequences, stronger language and more explicit and gruesome scenes of violence.
One of the most talked about things is the severed head scene involving Uzair Baloch and Arshad Pappu, a scene which was heavily promoted in the trailer but was removed from the theatrical version. Several action sequences have also been added back, including hammer attacks, decapitations, and the film’s extremely violent cement-block climax.
