3 November, 2026 Stock Market Highlights: On Tuesday, the stock markets witnessed a bumper rise of more than 1.5 percent for the second consecutive day. Due to strong rise in the shares of Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cement, the market closed the business with big gains. In the second trading session of the week, Sensex closed with a huge rise of 1.62 percent and Nifty with a rise of 1.58 percent. However, amidst this strong rise today, there were some companies whose shares registered a big fall.
Sensex closed with a gain of 1225 points
On Tuesday, BSE Sensex closed at 76,917.85 points with a gain of 1225.07 points (1.62 percent). Whereas, NSE’s Nifty 50 index closed at 23,810.85 points with a strong rise of 370.05 points (1.68 percent). Let us tell you that on Monday also the market had closed the trading with a gain of more than 1.5 percent.
Today, shares of 25 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains and shares of the remaining 5 companies closed in the red with a decline. On the other hand, shares of 39 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green mark with a rise and the shares of the remaining 10 companies closed in the red mark with a fall and the shares of one company closed without any change.
Hindustan Unilever shares made a big jump
Shares of Hindustan Unilever, a major FMCG company among the Sensex companies, closed today with the highest gain of 4.16 percent. Whereas, shares of Power Grid, which is among the major government companies of the country, closed today with the maximum fall of 2.27 percent.

Other Sensex stocks today included Bharti Airtel 4.00 percent, HDFC Bank 3.62 percent, Asian Paints 3.53 percent, UltraTech Cement 3.05 percent, ICICI Bank 2.80 percent, ITC 2.76 percent, Titan 1.90 percent, Indigo 1.85 percent, Axis Bank 1.82 percent, Maruti Suzuki 1.79 percent, Bajaj Finserv 1.78 percent, Eternal 1.73 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank 1.31 percent, Bajaj Finance 1.24 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.12 percent, BEL 0.97 percent, Infosys 0.79 percent, Adani Ports & SEZ 0.71 percent, Reliance 0.55 percent, HCL Tech 0.49 percent, TCS Shares of L&T closed up by 0.30 percent, L&T by 0.25 percent, Sun Pharma by 0.22 percent and Tech Mahindra by 0.15 percent.

On the other hand, today shares of State Bank of India closed down by 1.77 percent, NTPC by 0.87 percent, Tata Steel by 0.54 percent and Trent by 0.33 percent.
