New Delhi: A major achievement has been registered in the history of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) after 47 years. CRPF completed 12 consecutive months i.e. one year when no soldier lost his life while on operational duty. According to CRPF, the last operational death occurred on October 30, 2025. Earlier such a record was made in January 1979. That means, after about 47 years, CRPF has once again achieved this feat. CRPF Director General GP Singh has shared this information by sharing a post on social media.

Availability of equipment, better training and strategic planning

In his post, he has attributed this achievement of CRPF to the availability of modern and state-of-the-art equipment, better training and strategic planning. Apart from this, the system of quickly taking injured soldiers to better medical facilities after any incident has also played an important role in this.

According to GP Singh, special attention has been paid to immediately evacuate the injured soldiers from the incident site to second and third level medical facilities (Secondary and Tertiary Medical Facilities). Due to this, injured soldiers could get better treatment on time.

Achievement despite deployment in several major operational theaters

CRPF has also described this achievement as special because during this period the force’s soldiers were deployed in all the major operational areas of the country and actively participated in many important operations. Despite sustained operations and significant successes in these areas, the operational death toll remained zero. CRPF has said that maintaining peace and security in the country is its priority. The force has also reiterated its commitment to keep the country peaceful and secure for all citizens.

On the other hand, recently, 4 CRPF soldiers were injured in a sudden blast during the destruction of explosives in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Among the injured, 2 soldiers suffered serious injuries, while 2 soldiers suffered moderate injuries. All the injured were immediately admitted to the government hospital in Konta.

In fact, on October 8, the ammunition technician team of CRPF had reached Alarmadgu camp under Konta range of Sukma district from Jagdalpur. The objective of the team was to inspect various camps and safely destroy unused or leftover explosives kept there. Meanwhile, the process of destroying explosives was going on near Bodrajpadar drain, about 200 meters away from Elarmadgu camp of Bhejji police station area. Then accidentally a fragment of an explosive flew and fell nearby and caused a blast.
