Tuesday A major train accident was averted in Valsad, Gujarat this morning. Train number 19101, Virar-Bharuch MEMU train going from Virar to Bharuch derailed while reaching Bhilad railway station. In this accident, the front 4 wheels of the DMC (Driving Motor Coach) of the train derailed. After the derailment, there was panic among the passengers traveling in the train. After the accident, this train has been short terminated at Bhilad itself. Western Railway said that this train which was victim of the accident will end its journey at Bhilad itself and will not go further. That is, this train has been partially canceled from Bhilad to Bharuch.
The accident happened at 6.27 am on Tuesday
Officials of Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway said that there is no news of any casualty or injury to any passenger, railway employee or common people in this entire accident. According to the information given by the officials, this entire accident happened at 06.27 am on Tuesday. Western Railway has started the work of getting the train back on track immediately after the accident.
Due to the accident, timings of some trains were changed
Due to this incident, rail services on Mumbai-Ahmedabad route have also been affected. According to the information given by Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway, the timing of 4 trains has been changed. Mumbai Central Division has shared the details of these four trains.
- Train No. 19015, Dadar-Porbandar Express running on 28th July will now depart at 10.30 am instead of 09.30 am.
- Train No. 09055, Bandra Terminus-Udhna Express running on 28th July will now depart at 10:00 am instead of 09.00 am.
- Train No. 59045, Mumbai Central-Vapi Express running on July 28 will now depart at 10:55 am instead of 09.55 am.
- Train number 09001, Mumbai Central-Barmer special train running on July 28 will depart at 11:30 am instead of 10.30 am.
Western Railway has appealed to all the passengers traveling through this route to check the current status of the train, so that they do not face any kind of problem. Western Railway has advised passengers to check the current status of their train by calling NTES portal or calling 139 before starting their journey.
