worldwide Pizza Hut, famous for its delicious pizza, is going to be sold. Yum!, the global quick-service restaurant operating company that runs Pizza Hut! Brands on Tuesday announced two separate agreements to be sold for an enterprise value of $2.7 billion as part of a strategic restructuring. Yum Brands, which runs major global brands like KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Habit Burger & Grill, said it has entered into firm agreements to sell the Pizza Hut business for a total of $2.7 billion.

Yum Brands will get $2.3 billion from selling Pizza Hut

Under the agreements, Pizza Hut operations outside Mainland China will be purchased by private equity firm LongRange Capital for approximately $1.5 billion. Whereas, Yum China Holdings will buy Pizza Hut business in China for about $1.2 billion. Yum Brands said it expects to generate net proceeds of approximately $2.3 billion after taxes and other adjustments from the two deals. Additionally, a one-time expense of approximately $85 million is also estimated to be incurred in the remaining period of 2026 to implement the separation process.

Deal completed after strategic review in November 2025

Let us tell you that these deals have been done after the strategic review that started in November 2025. These are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions. After completion of the deal, Yum Brands will not release separate data related to its Pizza Hut business.

Yum Brands will focus on core business after separating Pizza Hut

Yum Brands CEO Chris Turner said, “These transactions will help the company focus more on its core business and drive long-term value creation.” Additionally, Yum Brands’ Board of Directors has also approved an additional $4 billion share repurchase proposal. Yum Brands operates more than 63,000 restaurants in 155 countries. Its unit operates more than 2,000 outlets in the Indian market with different franchise partners.
