How many ampere socket should be installed in the house for TV, AC, fan etc.? One mistake can cause short circuit

6 AMP socket

Generally most of the home appliances work on this 6 amp socket. This socket is used for lighting, fan, TV, set-top box etc. This socket is used for low load appliances.

16 AMP socket

This socket is used for heavy load appliances. This socket is used for the appliances kept in your house like fridge, mixer, grinder, washing machine, geyser, AC, iron, microwave, motor etc. If there is electric wiring in your house, then you should install only 16 amp socket at those places where heavy load appliances are to be used.

20/25 AMP socket

This socket is generally used for heavy loads such as induction cooktop, inverter and heavy appliances. However, all these appliances also work on 16 amp socket, but if the power consumption of the appliance is high, then there is a risk of it melting. In such a situation short-circuit may occur.

Don’t do this even by mistake

For the supply of electricity, the socket acts as a connector from where electricity is supplied to the appliances. If you connect a heavy loaded appliance to a 6 amp socket, it may get hot and slip. In such a situation, there will be a danger of short-circuit. Therefore, you should use the heavy loaded appliances used in the house only in the power socket.
