A major change has been seen in the two-wheeler market. Yamaha has introduced the world’s first airbag based scooter, named Yamaha Tricity 300. This scooter not only provides better balance and stability with three wheels, but now it also has advanced safety technology like airbags, which are commonly seen in cars. The airbag installed in this scooter is fitted at the front. It works through advanced sensors, which detect any collision immediately. As soon as a frontal accident occurs, the airbag deploys immediately and helps prevent the rider from falling forward. This system has been specially designed in such a way that the rider can get more safety even without seat belt.

Upgrade in design and technology also

The 2026 model of Yamaha Tricity 300 has a new and sporty design. LED lighting, new front panel and stylish tail lamps have been installed in it. Apart from this, the scooter has been provided with features like brake control system, unified braking system and traction control, which maintain better balance even in case of sudden braking.

You will get these smart features

This scooter has a 4.2 inch TFT display and 2.8 inch LCD screen. Along with this, smartphone connectivity is also available through Garmin navigation and MyRide app. The rider can also see call and music alerts. Apart from this, it has been provided with features like keyless start, good storage, parking brake and learning multi-wheel system, due to which the scooter remains more stable while turning. Standing assist system helps it maintain balance even when stopped.

Engine and Performance

This scooter has a 292cc engine, which generates 28 PS power and 28.9 Nm torque. It comes with an automatic gearbox and claims to give a mileage of around 30 kmpl. Also, a new catalytic converter has been added to it, which makes it as per the latest emission norms.

Awaiting launch in India

This scooter will currently be launched in Europe in 2026 and customers will get both airbag and non-airbag options. However, no official information has been given yet regarding its launch in India.
