
Center The government has approved road projects worth more than Rs 11,000 crore in Maharashtra, Telangana and Gujarat. This information has been received in the official statement issued on Saturday. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Friday approved the rehabilitation and upgradation of Ghoti-Triyambak (Mokhada)-Jawahar-Manor-Palghar section of NH-160A in Maharashtra at a total capital cost of Rs 3320.38 crore. The Ministry of Roads, Transport and Highways said the western region of Nashik, especially around Ambad and Satpur, is home to a dense cluster of industrial units developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, leading to large scale freight movement in the region.
Projects worth Rs 4583.64 crore approved for Gujarat
The ministry said the Union Cabinet has approved the rehabilitation and upgradation of 154.63 km Sambe section of NH-160A in Maharashtra on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode. This project has been proposed in accordance with the principles of PM Gatishakti. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has also approved construction of four-lane sections of Dhamasia-Bitada/Movi and Nasarpore-Malotha in Gujarat at a cost of Rs 4583.64 crore, the ministry said in a separate release. This 107.67 km long project is part of NH-56, which starts from Nimbahera in Rajasthan and passes through Dahod district of Gujarat, Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
NH-167 will be widened in Telangana at a cost of Rs 3175.08 crore.
Apart from this, the Cabinet Committee also approved widening of NH-167 in Telangana with a total capital cost of Rs 3175.08 crore. The 80.01 km long project from Gudebelur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor in Telangana will be developed as per 4-lane standard. The total capital cost of this project is Rs 3175.08 crore. Let us tell you that on Saturday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had given information about all the big projects approved by the cabinet.
