
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for the works related to the Green Corridor Project worth Rs 1,519 crore in Lucknow. The Chief Minister said that the state government did not give a separate budget for this project and the Lucknow Development Authority freed the government land in the city from illegal encroachments and by making proper use of it, collected resources and worked on this ambitious project at a cost of about Rs 1,519 crore.
Work of 2 phases completed, foundation stone of third and fourth phase laid
The Chief Minister said that in the case of urban development, this model is an inspiring example of how big projects can be worked on by better management of resources. According to an official statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under the Green Corridor Project, the construction of two phases from IIM Road to Pucca Bridge and Pucca Bridge (Daliganj) to Samta Moolak Crossing has been completed, which were inaugurated. It has been said in the statement that along with this, the foundation stone of the third and fourth phase from Samta Mulak Square to Shaheed Path and from Shaheed Path to Kisan Path has also been laid.
1 hour journey will be completed in 15 minutes in Lucknow
The statement said that the length of the road involved in the project is about 28 kilometers, which will facilitate traffic by connecting different parts of the capital. According to the statement, the construction of the Green Corridor will bring a major change in the traffic system in the capital and the roads which earlier used to take 45 minutes to an hour for people to reach their destination, will now be able to cover the same distance in just 10 to 15 minutes. This will save time and also reduce the problem of traffic jam in the city.
