The prices of both gold and silver declined in the futures market on Tuesday. On Multi Commodity Exchange i.e. MCX, the price of gold per 10 grams for the February delivery contract declined by 0.25 percent to Rs 1,33,795 at 10.28 am compared to the previous session. Similarly, the price of silver for March delivery also fell by 0.91 percent to Rs 1,96,000 per kg in the previous session.

- According to goodreturns, the gold price in Delhi on Tuesday was ₹ 13,401 per gram for 24 carat gold, ₹ 12,285 per gram for 22 carat gold and ₹ 10,054 per gram for 18 carat gold.
- The gold price in Mumbai on December 16 is ₹13,386 per gram for 24 carat gold, ₹12,270 per gram for 22 carat gold and ₹10,039 per gram for 18 carat gold.

Condition of gold in global market
According to tradingeconomics, gold prices declined on Tuesday and fell below $ 4,290 an ounce. After reaching a two-month high in the last trading session, investors booked profits, which put pressure on gold. Also, investors are waiting for the US Non-Farm Payrolls report due today, which may provide clues about the Federal Reserve’s further monetary policy.
