
Delhi Fog: Heavy fog is being seen in Delhi on Monday. At the time of writing the news, around 09.40, there was dense fog in Delhi and its surrounding areas and there was no trace of sunshine. Due to dense fog, there has been very poor visibility since morning and due to this poor visibility, many flights from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport are operating late today. Not only this, more than 100 trains coming to Delhi from different places of the country are running late by hours. Among these, there are some trains which are running late by more than 10 hours. Apart from this, some trains are being run through diverted routes.
Advisory issued for air passengers
“Due to dense fog in some parts of northern India, flight operations at some airports may be affected, causing delays,” the Civil Aviation Ministry said in an advisory issued for air travelers. Passengers are advised to stay updated with the airline’s official communication channels, allow extra time for reaching the airport and check-in procedures, and plan their journey accordingly.” Visibility was significantly reduced due to dense fog along with toxic smog in the capital Delhi on Monday. A layer of poisonous smog has surrounded the entire city. CPCB claims that the average AQI of Delhi is ‘459’, which is kept in the ‘severe’ category.
