
Tata Group-led domestic airlines company Air India, in a special initiative for passengers traveling from Delhi Airport, has started the facility of early check-in at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations. This will make the journey of passengers easier. According to the airline, this facility is for passengers of both domestic and international flights. This means that now the facility of safe baggage transfer directly from the metro station to the airport has been started.
Facility is available till this time
According to the information, this facility of early check-in will be available at both the metro stations from 07:00 am to 09:00 pm every day. Air India has said that this is a convenient option to avoid traffic hassles and save time. This initiative is another step towards further enhancing the travel experience of our guests, ensuring comfort, convenience and peace of mind from the city to the skies. Early check-in counters are available at the concourse level at New Delhi Metro station and next to the VFS Global Office at the concourse level at Shivaji Stadium Metro station.
Note the check-in period
According to the official website of Air India, the check-in period has been fixed from 12 hours to 2 hours before departure time for domestic flights and 4 hours to 2 hours before departure time for international flights.
This is how you can take advantage of early check-in facility
Step 1: Go to the city check-in facility at the metro station.
Step 2: Complete your check-in, collect your luggage, and collect your boarding pass.
Step 3: After completing the check-in formalities, you can use the Airport Express Metro Line to reach Delhi Airport (T3) in 20 minutes.
Step 4: Boarding gates close 20 minutes before flight. Therefore, reach the airport with enough time for the security check and immigration procedures before boarding your flight.
