Domestic airline company Air India has decided to cancel all its flights to and from New York and Newark on February 23 amid the warning of severe winter storm on the East Coast of America. The airline clarified that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety, well-being and convenience of passengers and crew members. Air India said in its official statement that all flights to New York and Newark scheduled to operate on February 23 will remain cancelled. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall of 1 to 2 feet (about 30 to 61 centimeters) in the affected areas, as well as conditions like strong winds and reduced visibility.
