Share Market Closing 12 January, 2026: The continuous decline in the stock market for 5 consecutive days finally stopped today. The domestic stock market closed the trading today with a rise, whereas in the morning it had started the trading with a big fall. On Monday, BSE Sensex closed at 83,878.17 points with a rise of 301.93 points (0.36%). Whereas, NSE’s Nifty 50 index closed at 25,790.25 points with a gain of 106.95 points (0.42 percent). Let us tell you that last week the market had closed with a decline in all 5 sessions.

Rally continues in Tata Steel shares

On Monday, shares of 25 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains and shares of the remaining 5 companies closed in the red with a decline. Similarly, today the shares of 39 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green mark with gains and the shares of the remaining 11 companies closed in the red mark with losses. Today, among the Sensex companies, shares of Tata Steel of Tata Group closed with the maximum gain of 2.75 percent and shares of Infosys closed with the maximum fall of 0.99 percent.
