Three members of a family committed suicide in their home in Karnataka’s Mysuru district. This also includes the 21-year-old bride-to-be. The incident occurred just a day before her scheduled wedding. The deceased have been identified as Shivanna (50), his wife Nagarathna (45) and their daughter Rakshita (21). According to police sources, the family is believed to have consumed poison at their home in Halekampayyanhundi village of T Narasipura taluk.
Youth named Ullas Gowda arrested
Police have arrested a youth named Ullas Gowda in the suicide case of three people of the same family. This incident came to light in Kempayyana Hundi of Varuna assembly constituency on Monday, in which three members of the same family committed suicide by writing a suicide note after being harassed by a youth.
The young man was harassing me mentally
Shivanna-Nagarathna and their daughter Rakshita, residents of Kempayyana Hundi village, committed suicide. It is alleged that a youth from the same village, Ullas Gowda, had mentally harassed the family.
The accused was harassing a girl named Rakshita, despite Rakshita’s marriage being fixed, he was pressurizing her and her family for marriage.

False story spread about relationship
Police investigation revealed that the accused Ullas spread the false story about his relationship with Rakshita to the boy with whom Rakshita’s marriage was fixed and his family members. Due to this, Rakshita’s family was completely devastated and fearing that the family’s honor would be tarnished, all three of them committed suicide by consuming poison.
Police team found suicide note
In the death note found at home, it has been alleged that Ullas Gowda had sent a message to the young man who was engaged to Rakshita. After investigation on the spot, police have arrested Ullas Gowda on the charge of instigating three people to commit suicide on the basis of suicide note.
