A Cheetah light helicopter of the Indian Army has crashed. This incident happened on 20th May in Ladakh sector. In this accident, both the pilots and division commander Major General Sachin Mehta aboard the helicopter were injured, but now their condition is said to be stable.

It is being ascertained whether this accident happened due to technical fault, weather or problem during landing, or some other reason. The Army has said that the exact cause of the accident will be confirmed only after the investigation report comes.

It is noteworthy that in strategically important sensitive areas like Ladakh, army helicopters are continuously engaged in operations and logistics support. In such a situation, the army is taking this accident seriously. At present, the injured pilots and Division Commander Major General are undergoing treatment and their condition is out of danger.
