In a recent interview with ‘The Indian Express’, he praised ‘Dhurandhar’ a lot. Deepika Padukone’s father said, ‘It is a good film. All the actors did a great job, but I thought the violence in the film was a little too much, yet most people liked it, so I think that’s what matters most. Prakash Padukone also talked about his relationship with Ranveer Singh. He told that he is very close to both his daughter Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and they often go on family vacations together. He said that he often asks Ranveer about films because he wants to know about the film industry, while Ranveer often asks him about sports.

About ‘Dhurandhar’ Franchise

‘Dhurandhar’ was directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role and also featured actors like R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. Released in December 2025, the film proved to be a blockbuster and grossed more than Rs 1350 crore worldwide. On the other hand, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, released in March 2026, took this franchise further. This sequel was also directed by Aditya Dhar. This spy thriller not only broke many box office records, but after earning Rs 1000 crore in the opening week itself, it collected a total of more than Rs 1800 crore worldwide.
