
Uttar Pradesh The work of Ganga Expressway connecting Meerut to Prayagraj has been completed. The remaining work of the expressway in Shahjahanpur, UP has also been completed. State Transformation Commission CEO Manoj Kumar Singh recently inspected the Ganga Expressway. After inspection, Manoj Kumar Singh said that the expressway is completely ready and the work of building walls along its banks is being completed rapidly. Now this expressway is awaiting the final approval from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after which it will be opened for the general public.
594 km long journey will be completed in 6 hours
Manoj Kumar Singh said that this expressway is expected to start in the next 1-2 months. The 594 km journey from Meerut to Prayagraj via Ganga Expressway will be completed in just 6 hours. This 6 lane expressway can be expanded to 8 lanes in future if needed. It will start from NH-334 in Meerut, pass through Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, and Pratapgarh and end at the bypass near NH-2 in Prayagraj. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur on December 18, 2021.
An airstrip has been built on the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur.
The airstrip built in Shahjahanpur is a special feature of the Ganga Expressway, which can be used for landing of Air Force aircraft in case of emergency. Also, there are plans to develop industrial clusters, warehouses and food processing units along the expressway, which is expected to generate large-scale employment at the local level. It has been developed as a green expressway with extensive plantation on both sides. According to a PTI report, there is also a plan to build a 74 km long link expressway to connect Yamuna Expressway and Ganga Expressway in UP.
