Post The department is going to start a new service named ’24 Speed Post’ on March 17, 2026. This new service will be launched by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State for Communications Dr. Chandra Shekhar Pemmasani in the presence of senior officials of the department at 12:30 pm in the Rang Bhavan Auditorium of Akashvani Bhawan, Delhi. Next Day Delivery is guaranteed for immediate and timely shipment under 24 Speed Post Service. That means, you will send your courier today and it will be delivered to its destination tomorrow. However, this new service is being launched in select cities only in its first phase.
Commercial customers will get free pickup facility for bulk booking.
According to the information given by the Ministry of Communications, in the first phase this service will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Additionally, 24 and 48 speed post services will provide assured D+1 and D+2 delivery timelines through dedicated processing windows and priority air travel. That is, it will also have courier delivery service within 24 and 48 hours. These services will also include features like OTP based secure delivery, end-to-end tracking with SMS alerts, BNPL facility for commercial customers, free pickup for bulk bookings, API integration and centralized billing.
If the courier does not arrive on time, you will get the money back.
