Team India’s veteran batsman Virat Kohli has been ruled out of the ODI series against Afghanistan due to hamstring injury (strain). Due to injury he is not able to play in this series. Now fans are curious to know whether Virat will be able to recover till the ODI series of England tour to be held in July or not. Let us tell you that the decision about his playing in the England series will be taken only after his fitness test, which he will give at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Virat will reach Center of Excellence on June 22

Indian batsman Virat Kohli’s hamstring injury is now slowly improving. According to ESPN Cricinfo, Virat will go to BCCI’s ‘Center of Excellence’ (CoE) on June 22 to get his fitness checked. A series of ODI matches is to be played between India and England from 14 to 19 July. Before playing in this series, the experts there will thoroughly examine Virat’s injury to know whether he is completely ready to play the match or not. There he will also have a fitness test and only after passing it he will be allowed to play against England.

Virat Kohli was last seen playing in IPL 2026, where his performance was excellent. He scored a total of 675 runs in 16 matches this season with an excellent average of 56.25. During this period he also scored one century and five half-centuries. He is currently away from cricket since the end of IPL.

Rohit Sharma will also be a part of England series

A good news is coming regarding Rohit Sharma. It is expected that he will definitely play in the ODI series against England. Recently he played all three matches against Afghanistan, in which he appeared completely fit.
