The first commercial journey of this train from Kamakhya to Howrah is starting from 22nd January and from Howrah to Kamakhya from 23rd January. The enthusiasm among passengers about the country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train running between Howrah and Kamakhya can be understood from the fact that all its seats were booked within a few hours as soon as the booking for the first commercial journey opened. Yes, the booking window for the country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train was opened from 8.00 am on January 19 and within a few hours, tickets for all its seats were sold out.
All 823 seats of all classes were booked within a few hours.
Vande Bharat Sleeper Train has become a superhit among the passengers even before its first commercial journey. According to the information given by the Railway Ministry, all these seats have been booked through PRS and other online ticket booking platforms for the Vande Bharat Sleeper train running between Howrah and Kamakhya. The ministry said that after the opening of the booking window, all the seats of all classes were booked within 24 hours. Let us tell you that this Vande Bharat sleeper train with 16 coaches has a total of 823 seats. It has 1 compartment of First AC, 4 compartments of Second AC and 11 compartments of Third AC. Vande Bharat Sleeper train has a total of 823 seats including 24 sleeper berths in First AC, 188 in Second AC and 611 sleeper berths in Third AC.
Will complete the distance of 968 km in 14 hours
This train, running between Howrah Junction in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, and Kamakhya Junction in Guwahati, Assam, will cover a distance of 968 km in 14 hours. Train No. 27575, Howrah-Kamakhya (Guwahati) Vande Bharat Sleeper train will depart from Howrah Junction at 06.20 pm daily except Thursday and reach Kamakhya at 08.20 am the next day. In return, Train No. 27576, Kamakhya-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper train will depart from Kamakhya Junction at 06.15 pm daily except Wednesday and reach Howrah at 08.15 am the next day. This train will stop at Bandel, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Azimganj, New Farakka, Malda Town, Aluabari Road, New Jalpaiguri, Jalpaiguri Road, New Cooch Behar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Rangiya railway stations during its journey.
