The Indian stock market started trading on a strong note on Thursday on the basis of positive global signals. BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 255.35 points at 82,531.42, while Nifty rose 78.70 points to 25,561.20. The market mood appeared positive in early trading, where 538 shares rose, 276 fell and 84 shares remained flat.

HCL Technologies, Bajaj Auto, Infosys, Adani Enterprises and Cipla were the major gainers on Nifty. At the same time, pressure was seen in Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, ITC and Eternal. Analysts believe that if global trends remain favourable, then strong movement may be seen in selected stocks amid the ups and downs in the market today.

Investors will keep an eye on these shares today

1. Reliance Industries

The company’s step-down subsidiary Reliance Enterprise Intelligence (REIL) has made the allotment of equity shares. REIL has issued 59.66 crore shares (₹596.6 crore) to Reliance Intelligence and 25.65 crore shares (₹256.6 crore) to Facebook Overseas Inc, a wholly owned unit of Meta Platforms. After this allotment, 70% stake in REIL will be with Reliance Intelligence and 30% stake will be with Facebook. Now REIL is no longer a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of Reliance Industries but has become a step-down subsidiary.

2. Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC)

The government has decided not to exercise the oversubscription option of the company as there was under-subscription of 1.18 crore shares till February 25. Now the total offer size will be limited to 26.13 crore shares (about 2% equity). Additionally, the company has entered into an agreement with a consortium of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and MUFG Bank (Gift City Branch) for an External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) loan in JPY equivalent to $400 million.

3. Lupine

Maharashtra’s GST department has started inspection and search action at the registered office of the company on February 25. This action is being taken to verify the documents related to GST payment and input tax credit. The company has clarified that this investigation will not have any impact on its financial performance or day-to-day operations.

4. SBI Life Insurance Company

The company’s board has declared an interim dividend of ₹2.70 per share for the financial year 2025-26.

5. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL)

The company has received a Letter of Award (LOA) worth ₹371.69 crore from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for the township development project in Kirandul, Chhattisgarh.
