Reliance Industries said that it is taking all necessary steps as per the government guidelines to maximize LPG production from its refining and petrochemicals complex located in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Natural gas coming out of KG-D6 basin will be allocated on priority basis.
Reliance said that its teams are working round the clock to optimize refinery operations and increase LPG production so that the supply of gas in the domestic market remains stable and reliable. The company said that natural gas produced from the KG-D6 basin will also be sent to the sectors where it is needed most, based on government priorities. Reliance said that they will continue to work closely with the Government of India to ensure that all guidelines and fuel supplies reach the places and sectors that need it most.
LPG production in the country increased by 10 percent
Let us tell you that amid the ongoing war in the Gulf countries, the government issued a statement on Tuesday amid reports of shortage of commercial LPG cylinders from different parts of the country. The government said in its statement that LPG production in the country has been increased by 10 percent. The government said that all the refineries of the country are producing gas at their full capacity. There is no shortage of gas for domestic LPG consumers in the country, the statement said. 60 lakh LPG cylinders are supplied daily in the country. Any kind of shortage in the country is being fulfilled by diverting it from industry.
