In this series, work is going on to build a flyover from Hero-Honda Chowk to Rampura located on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway in Gurugram. The length of this flyover will be 10 km, which will be built by NHAI. It is believed that with the construction of this flyover, the city will get relief from the problem of traffic jam to a great extent. Let us tell you that there is tremendous traffic from Hero-Honda Chowk to Rampura flyover, due to which there are a lot of problems every morning and evening.
Orders to prepare DPR for new flyover
According to a report by Live Hindustan, due to waterlogging during the rainy season, the traffic situation in this area becomes worse and it takes more than half an hour to cover a distance of 10 km. Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) CEO P.C. Meena had discussed this problem with NHAI Chairman Santosh Yadav. Santosh Yadav has given instructions to prepare DPR for the new flyover from Hero-Honda Chowk to Rampura.
1 lakh vehicles pass through Delhi-Jaipur highway every day
More than 1 lakh vehicles pass between Delhi and Jaipur every day via the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. After the construction of Dwarka Expressway, there was improvement in the traffic problem in this area. However, after the opening of Bijwasan Toll Plaza on Dwarka Expressway, the traffic problem in this area once again increased. Actually, to save toll at Bijwasan toll plaza, most of the commercial vehicles use Delhi-Jaipur highway only.
Preparations are also underway to build a new elevated road to connect Umang Bhardwaj Chowk with Hero-Honda Chowk.
Let us tell you that along with building a new flyover from Hero-Honda Chowk to Rampura, GMDA is also working on a plan to make the road connecting Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to Hero-Honda Chowk an elevated road. Umang Bhardwaj Chowk is located on Gurugram-Pataudi Road. Whereas, Hero-Honda Chowk is located on Delhi-Jaipur Highway. This is a very important road for Gurugram, where a large number of vehicles pass through. The design of this elevated road has been prepared and it has been shared with Gurugram Metro Rail Limited.
