Indian Railways Holi Special Trains: Indian Railways has planned to run more than 1410 Holi special trains to ensure comfortable and convenient travel for passengers during Holi. Railway Ministry said that the number of special trains run for Holi can increase up to 1500. These special trains are aimed to meet the increasing demand of passengers during the festival season and ensure better connectivity between major destinations. These special trains will be run in March this year. Let us tell you that last year, in 2025, Indian Railways had operated a total of 1144 special train trips for Holi.

East Central Railway will run maximum 285 special trains

Railway Ministry said that on the basis of different zones, East Central Railway will run maximum 285 special trains. After this, in view of the huge rush of passengers on western routes, Western Railways has planned to run 231 trains. Central Railway will run 209 Holi special trains, while South Central Railway will operate a total of 160 trains. Apart from this, a plan has been prepared to run 108 Holi special trains by Northern Railway and 71 Holi special trains by North Western Railway. Further strengthening the connectivity, 66 special trains will be operated by North Central Railways. At the same time, both North Eastern Railway and East Coast Railway will run 62-62 trains.

Western Railway plans to run 47 special trains while West Central Railway plans to run 43 special trains.

On the occasion of Holi, South Western Railways will operate 47 trains, while West Central Railways has planned to run 43 special trains. Southern Railway will run 39 Holi special trains and South East Central Railway will run 15 special trains to provide better facilities to the passengers. To meet the regional demand, Konkan Railway has planned to run 9 Holi special trains and Northeast Frontier Railway has planned to run 2 Holi special trains. The Railway Ministry said that Indian Railways is continuously committed to ensure passenger convenience, safety and efficient operations during all major festivals of the country.
