Share Market Closing 16 December, 2025: The domestic stock market once again witnessed a decline on Tuesday. Today was the second consecutive day when the market closed the business in the red. Today BSE Sensex closed at 84,679.86 points with a fall of 533.50 points (0.63%). Similarly, NSE’s Nifty 50 index also closed at 25,860.10 points with a loss of 167.20 points (0.64 per cent). Let us tell you that on Monday also the market had closed the trading in red mark with a decline. Yesterday, Sensex closed 54.30 points lower at 85,213.36 points and Nifty closed 19.65 points lower at 26,027.30 points.
Horrific fall in Axis Bank shares
On Tuesday, shares of only 7 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains and shares of all the remaining 23 companies closed in the red with a decline. Similarly, out of 50 Nifty 50 companies, shares of only 11 companies closed in the green with gains and shares of the remaining 39 companies closed in the red with losses. Today, among the Sensex companies, the shares of Titan closed with the maximum gain of 1.73 percent and the shares of Axis Bank closed with the maximum fall of 5.00 percent and this played a big role in losing the money of the investors.
Shares of these companies closed in the green.
Among other Sensex companies today, shares of Bharti Airtel closed with gains of 1.59 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra by 0.45 percent, Asian Paints by 0.35 percent, Trent by 0.27 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank by 0.08 percent and ICICI Bank by 0.06 percent.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, shares of Eternal fell by 4.63 percent, HCL Tech 2.03 percent, Tata Steel 0.91 percent, Bajaj Finserv 1.86 percent, UltraTech Cement 1.56 percent, Bajaj Finance 1.36 percent, NTPC 1.13 percent, BEL 1.07 percent, PowerGrid 1.01 percent, Reliance Industries 0.97 percent, Adani Ports 0.94 per cent, TCS 0.88 per cent, Infosys 0.87 per cent, SBI 0.86 per cent, L&T 0.76 per cent, Hindustan Unilever 0.71 per cent, Sun Pharma 0.51 per cent, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles 0.49 per cent, Maruti Suzuki 0.47 per cent, HDFC Bank 0.26 per cent, Tech Mahindra. Shares of ITC closed down by 0.14 per cent and 0.10 per cent.
