The government on Monday extended the booking time from 21 days to 25 days to prevent hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders. Government sources have given this information. Sources said that amid the ongoing tension in the Gulf countries, information about hoarding of LPG cylinders is being received due to various rumours. Some such cases have come to light, where people who earlier used to book LPG cylinders in 55 days, have started booking LPG cylinders in 15 days.
Adequate quantity of petrol, diesel, LPG gas available in the country
With this decision of the government, now no customer will be able to book a new LPG cylinder before 25 days. Suppose, you booked the cylinder on 1st March. According to the old rules, you could book a new cylinder on March 22, but according to the new rules, now you will be able to book a new cylinder on March 26 only. However, this new rule has been taken in view of the current circumstances. The old rule can be implemented again once the situation becomes normal. Let us tell you that along with the government, all the oil and gas companies are informing their customers that there is no shortage of any kind of fuel in the country. Adequate quantities of petrol, diesel and LPG gas are available in the country.
Orders from companies to give priority to domestic customers
Sources said that the government has ordered refineries to increase the production of LPG. Along with this, the government has ordered companies to give priority to domestic LPG connections instead of commercial LPG connections. Domestic customers will always be priority. Along with this, the government is also busy searching for new partners for LPG. Apart from this, many countries like Algeria, Australia, Canada and Norway have approached India to sell LPG.
