There is news of great relief for the people who are dreaming of owning their own house in Delhi. Amid rising property prices in the capital, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched Janata Awas Yojana-2025 under Affordable Housing. The objective of this scheme is to provide houses at affordable prices to the people of Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The special thing is that these flats are located near metro connectivity and major roads, due to which their demand is expected to increase further.
A total of 144 flats have been included in this scheme of DDA. Of these, 62 flats have been built near Dwarka Mod Metro Station and 82 flats have been built on Chhattarpur Main Road. All these flats come under EWS category and have been built by private builders for DDA. The allotment of flats will be done through computerized draw in a completely transparent manner.
Size and price
Talking about size and price, the area of the flats built at Dwarka Mor is around 29.24 to 30.68 square meters, whose price has been kept between Rs 12.63 lakh to Rs 13.24 lakh. Whereas the flats located on Chhattarpur Main Road are slightly bigger, their size ranges from 45.57 to 48.24 square meters and the price has been fixed between Rs 23.05 lakh to Rs 24.37 lakh.
Parking and Eligibility
Parking facility is also being provided with these flats. The plan includes two square meters of uncovered parking and 1.25 square meters of covered parking. Only those people can avail the benefit of this scheme, whose family annual income does not exceed Rs 10 lakh.
Registration and Draws
According to DDA, registration for this scheme will start from January 7, 2026. The application fee has been kept at Rs 2,500 and the last date for application will be 7 February 2026. The draw of flats will be held on 13 February 2026. Overall, this scheme can prove to be a great opportunity for people looking for a cheap house in Delhi.
