ITC Maurya becomes high-security zone

According to a Times of India report, Putin will stay in the luxurious 4700 square feet Grand Presidential Suite at ITC Maurya. The history of this suite is also very special, because it is the same room where American heads of state like Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton have stayed. This suite has two bedrooms, a study room, reception area, 12-seater dining room, mini-spa, gym and many high-end amenities. The hotel’s premium restaurants Bukhara and Dum-Pukht have also been specially prepared for Putin and his team.

Demand for five-star hotels increased across Delhi

Sources say that Putin’s entire delegation has also booked nearby hotels. There is no room vacant for this weekend in all the big 5-star hotels of Delhi, Taj Palace, Oberoi, Leela and Maurya. Hotel officials say security, protocol and the demand for foreign delegations have pushed tariffs to record levels.

Special monitoring of Putin’s diet also

According to News18 report, there are multiple levels of security and checks on food during Putin’s foreign tours. Nothing is served until his team gives the go-ahead. His breakfast is very simple, while after workout he takes steak and quail eggs for protein. He likes sweets less and pistachio flavor ice cream is considered his favourite. He generally does not consume alcohol and green tea is his favorite drink.

New warmth in India-Russia relations?

This is Putin’s first visit to India after the Ukraine war, whose diplomatic importance has increased considerably. There is discussion that there can be many important agreements between the two countries related to trade, health, education and defense. It is considered important for India to strengthen partnership with Russia in the backdrop of deteriorating relations with America.
