There is good news for road travelers and businessmen. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched the upgraded version of the Highway Pravesh portal. Now there will be no need to visit different offices to get petrol pump, food court, road or other necessary approvals on the National Highway. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated this portal and said that the digital platform will make the application process faster, transparent and easier.

Who is the portal for?

This portal has been created for all those people and organizations who need No Objection Certificate (NOC) and other permissions related to National Highway. This includes common citizens, private companies and government departments. Whether you want to set up a petrol pump along the highway, open a food court, or build connecting roads and rest areas, all the processes will now be completed online on a single platform.

Now approval will be done in one click

Through this portal, telecom companies will also be able to apply for laying optical fiber cables, laying water and gas pipelines, installing power lines. Earlier, for all these, one had to go to different departments and submit documents, but now applicants can check the status of their applications online and can also get answers within the stipulated time.

Businessmen and citizens will benefit

From small and big traders to state government projects, everyone will benefit from it. Small traders, logistics and infrastructure companies opening facilities along the highway will now be able to invest faster. This will not only speed up the process but will also reduce unnecessary travel and wastage of time.

Transparency and time saving

The ministry says that the process will be completely transparent through the portal. Applicants will be able to see at what stage their application is and when it is likely to be approved. India’s national highway network, which is more than 1.45 lakh kilometers long, is now becoming not only a road but also a major hub of logistics, retail, fuel and hospitality.
