A sudden loss of plans during air travel can become a headache for anyone. Especially when thousands of people are left stranded at the airport for hours. Something similar happened in the beginning of December, when the problems of passengers increased due to cancellation and delay of many IndiGo flights. Now the airline has introduced a big solution to this problem.

IndiGo has announced that travel vouchers worth up to Rs 10,000 will be given to passengers stranded at the airport due to operational glitches between December 3 and 5. These vouchers can be used on any IndiGo flight for the next 12 months. This step will prove to be a big relief package for those passengers who were stuck at the counter for hours and whose planning was completely messed up.

airline statement

The airline said in its statement that its biggest focus is always on the convenience and care of passengers. IndiGo said that all refunds of canceled flights have been processed and the amount has also reached the accounts of most of the customers. Those whose tickets were booked through travel agencies or other platforms, their cases are also being resolved expeditiously. The company has appealed to such passengers to send their details to customer.experience@goindigo.in, so that they can get immediate help.

More problems occurred on 3, 4 and 5 December

The airline admitted that many passengers faced great inconvenience on 3, 4 and 5 December. There was a huge crowd at the airport and people remained stranded there for several hours. IndiGo said that such severely impacted passengers will be given travel vouchers worth Rs 10,000. The most important thing is that this voucher is different from the compensation fixed by the government. According to the rules, if the flight is canceled 24 hours before the flight, the passenger gets compensation ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. This means that many passengers will get double benefit.

IndiGo said that it is fully committed to providing a safe, smooth and reliable experience to the passengers and all necessary steps are being taken to ensure that such a situation does not happen again.
