Indian Railways is no longer limited to just transporting passengers from one place to another, but is rapidly moving towards providing a fast, comfortable and modern travel experience. Under this thinking, Railways has started semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Sleeper Train and Amrit Bharat Express. These trains running in different parts of the country are not only in the news for their looks and speed, but are also becoming the first choice of passengers due to the premium facilities available in them. But before traveling in these trains, it is very important to know one important thing that their ticket cancellation system is quite different and strict from ordinary trains.

According to railway rules, passengers may have to suffer huge losses if tickets are canceled in Vande Bharat Sleeper and Amrit Bharat trains. If you cancel your ticket 72 hours before the scheduled departure of the train, 25% of the total ticket amount will be deducted as cancellation charge. This means that even if you cancel the ticket in time, you will not get the full money back. At the same time, if you cancel the ticket between 8 hours to 72 hours before the departure of the train, then the loss will be more. In this situation, Railways will deduct 50 percent of your ticket amount. That means half the money will go directly.

biggest shock

The biggest shock occurs when a passenger cancels the ticket within 8 hours of the train’s departure time. Railway rules are clear that if the ticket is canceled within this time limit, not a single penny will be refunded. That means the entire ticket amount will be confiscated.

Confirm berth to every passenger

According to the Railway Ministry, every passenger is guaranteed a confirmed berth in these trains. This is the reason why the cancellation rules of Vande Bharat Sleeper and Amrit Bharat trains have been kept more strict than other mail-express or superfast trains. Railways does not want seats to go vacant due to ticket cancellation at the last moment. The same rules apply to reserved tickets of Amrit Bharat Express, which have been fixed for Vande Bharat Sleeper train. However, it is a matter of relief that the old rules will continue to apply on unreserved tickets of Amrit Bharat and passengers will continue to get the facility of refund as before.
