With the beginning of the new year, a big change is being seen in the taxi service industry of the country. Now ‘Bharat Taxi’ has emerged as a new and cheaper option for the passengers and drivers troubled by the arbitrary prices and surge pricing of private companies like Ola and Uber. This government cab service claims that it will not only be light on the pockets of the passengers, but will also give full earning rights to the drivers.
How much cheaper is Bharat Taxi than Ola-Uber?
The biggest attraction of Bharat Taxi is its fixed price model. There will be no increase in fare on this app in the name of surge pricing i.e. peak time, rain or traffic. According to reports, the fixed fare on Bharat Taxi has been kept at only Rs 30 for the first 4 kilometers. After this, the fare has been fixed at Rs 23 per kilometer for distance between 4 to 12 km and Rs 18 per km for distance more than 12 km. If we compare, the fare for the same distance in Ola and Uber sometimes reaches double, especially during peak times. In such a situation, Bharat Taxi can prove to be 30 to 40 percent cheaper for the passengers.
Drivers will get full money
Bharat Taxi is being touted as a zero-commission platform. That means drivers will not have to pay huge commission like Ola-Uber. Whatever fare the passenger pays will go directly into the driver’s pocket. This will increase the earnings of drivers and passengers will have to pay less fare. Till now more than 1.4 lakh drivers have registered on this platform.
How will cab booking be done in the app?
Bharat Taxi is a completely app-based service. It can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. In the app, the user has to enter the pickup and drop location, select the category (cab, auto or bike) and the fixed fare will already be visible on the screen. Payment is available in both online and cash options.
What features will you get?
Bharat Taxi app provides cab, auto and bike facilities. Along with this, metro services have also been linked to the app, that is, users can also book metro tickets. A tie-up has been made with Delhi Police for the safety of passengers and drivers. The app has received more than 1 lakh downloads so far and an excellent rating of 4.8 to 4.9.
