
New Delhi: After the cancellation of Indigo flights, Railways has made a big announcement. Railways has announced operation of 89 special trains in all zones in the next three days from Saturday. This will provide passengers a better option to reach their destination and make their journey convenient.

Actually, a large number of flights have been canceled by Indigo. Due to this, passengers are facing difficulty in reaching their destination. In such a situation, the announcement of operation of 89 special trains by Railways is a relief news for the passengers.
Railways has announced operation of 89 special trains in all zones in the next three days from Saturday. Under this initiative of the Railway Ministry, after analyzing the train traffic situation in major cities like New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Patna and Howrah, these trains covering more than 100 trips have been arranged in the shortest possible time.
Statement of the Executive Director of Information and Publicity Department of Railway Board came out
“The number of special trains and their frequency may increase further depending on the traffic situation,” said Dilip Kumar, executive director of the Information and Publicity Department of the Railway Board.
“All zones have been asked to utilize all available resources, including rolling stock and manpower, to run these trains safely to facilitate the lakhs of passengers stranded in different parts of the country due to flight cancellations,” Dilip Kumar said.
Tickets became expensive due to Indigo crisis
The Indigo crisis has badly affected airports across the country. Because of this, flight tickets have become expensive and prices are touching the sky. This has created difficulties for common passengers as they have to pay higher fares for shorter distances. (Input: PTI)
