
IndiGo Airlines: India’s largest airline company IndiGo is facing a terrible crisis for the last 5 days. Indigo flights are getting canceled and delayed in large numbers for the 5th consecutive day today. Meanwhile, India’s Civil Aviation Ministry has issued strict instructions to IndiGo regarding refunds to passengers. The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India has given strict instructions to the airline company IndiGo to clear the pending refunds of all the affected passengers as soon as possible without any delay.
If there is delay in refund, strict action will be taken
The Civil Aviation Ministry has ordered the country’s largest airline company that the refund process for all canceled or delayed flights should be completed by 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Airlines have also been directed not to charge any rescheduling charges from passengers whose travel plans have been affected by the cancellation. The ministry has made it clear that if there is any delay in refund processing or non-compliance of rules, regulatory action will be taken immediately.
More than 300 flights canceled on Saturday
Let us tell you that on Saturday also Indigo has canceled hundreds of flights. Today, IndiGo has canceled maximum 109 flights from the capital Mumbai, 106 from Delhi, 69 from Hyderabad, 42 from Pune, 19 flights from Ahmedabad, 8 from Lucknow and 6 from Thiruvananthapuram. IndiGo has completely canceled many flights from Delhi to Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jabalpur, Chennai, Vijayawada and Agartala today. Apart from this, Indigo flights of many other routes are flying with huge delays of 5 to 6 hours, due to which the problems of the passengers are increasing continuously.
It will take a long time for the situation to become normal
After giving relief in FDTL rules, now Indigo Airlines flights started flying slowly with less numbers. However, there are still long lines of people at the check-in counter. Indio CEO Peter Albers said that it will take a few more days for the operation to become completely normal.
