Tata Group-led Air India and Air India Express will continue their scheduled flight services to Jeddah and Muscat from 9 March 2026. As the airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman remains open, flights of both the airlines will be operated normally. The two airlines together will operate a total of 10 flights to Jeddah, while Air India Express will operate a total of 14 flights to Muscat. According to the information given by the airline, on March 9, Air India will operate one round trip flight each from Delhi and Mumbai to Jeddah. Whereas Air India Express will run one round trip flight each from Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kozhikode to Jeddah.

According to the news, Air India Express will also continue its scheduled services to Muscat. Under this, one round trip flight each will be operated from Delhi, Mumbai, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirappalli, while two round trip flights will be operated from Kochi.

Additional ad-hoc flights

In addition to the scheduled services, Air India and Air India Express will also operate a total of 32 additional (ad-hoc) non-scheduled flights to the UAE on March 9, 2026. The purpose of these flights is to help bring back the stranded passengers to India. However, operation of these flights will depend on the availability of slots and other circumstances at the respective departure airports. Necessary permissions have been obtained from Indian and local regulatory authorities for all these flights.

Total 10 additional flights to Dubai

Air India will operate a total of 10 additional flights to Dubai, which include three round trip flights from Mumbai and two round trip flights from Delhi. Whereas Air India Express will run one round trip flight each from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Dubai. Apart from this, Air India Express will also operate additional flights to other emirates of UAE. Under this, one round trip flight each from Bengaluru and Mumbai to Abu Dhabi, one round trip flight each from Bengaluru and Mumbai to Sharjah, and one round trip flight each from Delhi, Bengaluru and Kochi to Ras Al Khaimah will be operated. Apart from this, two round trip flights will also operate from Mumbai to Ras Al Khaimah.

Additional flights have been deployed for these cities also

Air India on Sunday announced that in view of the increasing passenger demand amid the ongoing situation in West Asia, it will operate additional flights to five major gateways in Europe and New York (JFK) in the next few days. Along with this, additional services will also be started for Maldives and Sri Lanka. According to the official statement issued by the airline, between March 10 and 18, 2026, Air India will operate a total of 78 additional flights on these routes, to provide relief to passengers amid limited travel options and to increase the availability of flights.

These additional flights will be operated on Delhi-New York (JFK), Delhi-London (Heathrow), Mumbai-London (Heathrow), Delhi-Frankfurt, Delhi-Paris (CDG), Delhi-Amsterdam, Delhi-Zurich, Delhi-Malle and Delhi-Colombo routes.
