Air India said in a statement that it is deploying high-capacity ‘wide-body’ aircraft for its service from Mumbai to Jeddah and Dubai on March 3 and 4, so that as many passengers as possible can return affected by the ongoing tensions in West Asia. Air India said the Boeing-777 aircraft with at least 350 seat capacity departed from Mumbai for Jeddah on Tuesday evening. The company said, “After this, a Boeing 787-9 plane with a capacity of at least 300 seats is going to fly from Delhi to Dubai tonight and a Boeing 787-8 plane with a capacity of more than 250 seats will fly from Mumbai to Dubai in the early hours of March 4.”

Air India flights will return from Dubai and Jeddah to Delhi and Mumbai on March 4.

According to Air India, all flights will reach Mumbai and Delhi on their return journey on March 4 and are expected to be fully occupied. Tata Group-owned airline company Air India, which is closely monitoring the attacks in the Gulf countries, on Monday started operating all scheduled flights to America, Canada, Europe and Britain.
